I became fascinated with the natural colors that occur when teabags are dried. I noticed that different types of teas dye the bags a variety of colors. This lead to my use of dried teabags in my Mixed Media art. I found that teabags can be used to obtain an endless array of teabag art. Moon Shadows has retained the organic influence of the naturally dried colors. The shape of the teabags lend themselves to an organized grid pattern. The bags are attached to a panel with acrylic medium...then some cream colored acrylic paint was used to contrast with the monochromatic colors of the teabags. UV protection and fixative were used to stabilize the color of the bags. Several coats of acrylic varnish were added to the surface. The sides of the panel are stained a light brown and the panel is wired and ready for hanging.
