Following a year of intense back pain and limitation, I had surgery and could walk again. My early walks were in a park near my home. As I walked I noticed the tar repair lines on the blacktop paths. They spoke to me of restoration, repair and a new life. This inspired me to create the “LIFE LINES” series. This piece has a acrylic underpainting with colleague elements. The entire surface is covered with rice paper and additional acrylic paint and china marker lines are added. The sides are painted the same color as the underpainting and it is wired ready for hanging.
