The Chama River is a huge inspiration for me. This piece represents the essence of the place, not a literal interpretation. Metallic pigments contrast nicely with flat finishes and lots of pallate knife embellishments make this so interesting to look at. I also used some paint sticks to add another texture. People love the depth of this piece and it is one of my favorites ever. Signed on the side so it does not interrupt the abstraction of colors. Painted on all sides so it is easy to look at.
